Cai Be floating market is a fruit and product transfer station to every part of the country (even to China). The price levels are surprisingly low.
Tubers and fruits trading area runs from the fork of The Church to Vam Long Hai door. There are two kinds of large boat loaded with 5 – 10 tons of specialty from different provinces to this market and do a roaring trade.
Rice and bran zone is located in a separate river. The special thing of this floating market is that what you sell will be hung on the pole to let buyers know without any announcement.

Not far away from Cai Be floating market located another floating market named Cai Rang. Cai Rang is a district of Can Tho which is located 5 kilometers away from the city center. And just like Cai Be, This market should be visited in the very early morning, even when there is no sunlight at all. Cai Rang floating market occurs all the day, yet its rush hours are at the beginning of a day as the atmosphere is still cool and fresh. The local people use boats in many sizes to go to the market and do the trade. They drive very skillfully that there rarely has any accident on the river.
As the Cai Rang floating market gets more and more crowded, besides the familiar bustling sounds of sellers and buyers, we can hear the noise from motor boats. Like other normal markets, floating market sells many kinds of goods, from raw and fresh food, cereal, specialty fruits, etc … to Da Lat cabbage.
